From Ashes to Action - Support that Transforms

“I help families make meaning out of what feels unmanageable. I’ve been there. And I stay until they’re through it."

A New Standard in Recovery Support

Ember and Ash Recovery provides recovery coaching, sober companionship, and case management for individuals and families navigating addiction, mental health, and life transitions. Founded by Socrates Zouboulakis, LADC, with a background in research at Harvard Medical School, the practice blends clinical training, personal insight, and concierge-level support.

When a loved one is in crisis, families are often overwhelmed and under-supported. The traditional treatment system is designed to stabilize, but not to sustain. Aftercare is fragmented, impersonal, and rarely built for the complex realities that follow discharge.

That’s where I come in—helping clients and families make sense of the chaos, connect the dots, and move forward with structure, empathy, and consistency.

I’ve lived this. I’ve taken medical leaves. I’ve faced the uncertainty, the shame, and the fractured systems. Ember and Ash Recovery was born from that experience—not just to offer services, but to be a steady presence when it matters most.

It’s a calling. Ember and Ash Recovery exists so that no family has to navigate recovery without a guide. I offer calm in the chaos, and I stay in it for the long haul—not just the first 30 days.

Ember and Ash stands for integrity, empathy, and action.

Services

1

Sober Companionship

I offer 24/7 in-person support for clients during high-risk or high-transition periods—whether post-discharge, during travel, or following a destabilizing event. This service includes emotional regulation, relapse prevention, and real-time structure in moments when accountability and calm are critical.

2

Recovery Coaching

Through regular virtual or in-person sessions, I help clients build sustainable recovery routines, identify goals, and stay connected to purpose. Coaching is flexible, collaborative, and ideal for individuals early in recovery or rebuilding after a major transition.

3

Monitoring and Accountability

For clients who need regular check-ins, schedule oversight, and structure between formal appointments, I offer tailored monitoring services. This might include daily texts, call-ins, calendar support, or weekly reviews to ensure follow-through on recovery goals.

What Recovery Means

Our Approach

Recovery, as we define it at Ember and Ash, is not the absence of crisis—it’s the slow, often nonlinear process of reclaiming agency, integrity, and connection. For clients, that means learning how to navigate daily life with structure and self-respect. For families, it means learning how to support without controlling, how to love without rescuing, and how to rebuild trust in small, steady steps.

This isn’t about checking boxes or hitting milestones. It’s about re-patterning how a person relates to themselves, their time, and the people around them. It’s about understanding that relapse is not failure, that progress is not linear, and that true healing often begins once the formal treatment ends.

Recovery at Ember and Ash is pragmatic and personal; It happens during 7am walks. In tense family calls. While navigating re-entry to school or work. And it’s sustained not by willpower, but by consistent, empathic support that adapts to real life in real time.

“Recovery is a process of remembering who you are—and learning to live in alignment with that, even when it’s hard.”
